Established for over twenty years, we are a Buxton based bearing,
transmission and industrial supplier – from bicycle to bulldozer, compressor
to crusher, we have it covered.
The company was started in 1997 by Tony and Shirley Davis, both current
Directors. Tony, worked out of a portacabin and, armed with his phone book,
note pad and years of industry experience, serviced the local farming
community and small businesses, gradually building the foundations of A&S
Bearings and Transmissions Ltd, a company renown for excellent customer
service and always happy to help find a solution to industries mechanical
problems.
Shirley having years of administration experience, ran the financial side of
the business, managing the accounts as well as having a full time position
elsewhere but in 2014 dedicated herself full time to the company
Keeping within the family, son-in-law Paul entered the business four
years ago. Paul, who has a Modern Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering
and years of experience in the motor trade is Branch Manager
Our latest member of the team is James, who started in 2017, has a vast
experience in sales and is a natural “people person”
We have come a long way since the beginning, recently moving to a purpose
built unit which enables us to carry more stock and keep up the level of
service our customers have come to expect. We now have new offices and a new
trade counter giving our customers a welcoming environment when they visit

- Monday – Friday 08:30 – 17:00
- Saturday 08:30 – 12:00
We offer a 24 hour call out service, simply telephone our office number and you will be diverted to a member of staff.
